The cauliflower is a “flower” remarkable, at least once a week (but actually the council several times a week) should not miss on our tables during the winter. In short, a riot of “molecular Friends” that by meeting our body the they help in every way. Cauliflower is therefore an antioxidant, fights ulcers, low blood pressure and constipation (oops!)! From “my part” is used quite often cook “pasta and cabbage” in the winter, with pepper or chili!
Pasta and Cauliflower
Ingredients for two people:
- A medium-sized cauliflower (about half a kg).
- Salt to taste
- Garlic, extra virgin olive oil.
- Chilli-pepper or turmeric (together) if you like spicy.
After well rinsed and cut into large pieces cauliflower, leave them in water for half an hour (the time it is necessary to relieve the water-soluble pesticides, if it is a BIO cabbage just simply rinse)
In a versarsiamo the oil pan (about three tablespoons, then depending on taste), and garlic clean; do fry for a few minutes, we remove the garlic and then pour the cauliflower previously drained (well) and mix, we close the pot with a lid and let cook over medium low flame for a few minutes stirring occasionally.
We climb (who likes can add the chili at this stage) and cook for 30-45 minutes over medium heat (times depend on the size that you have given to cauliflower) At this point we cover with water cauliflower,.
Cooked cauliflower, you can taste it simple as well, or pour the macaroni to your taste directly in the pan (remembering to add a little more water if needed and to “fix” of salt).
You just have to enjoy this first course, hot, tasty and nutritious !!
